Switch the Lines | Words control to Words. Tap or click the first word of the cut, then the last word. Tap the same word twice to cut just that one. You can pick the second word on a different line to cut across lines.
Tap or click a cut line or word again. In Words mode, tapping a cut word restores that whole stretch of cut words. The iPhone and iPad app also has Undo and Reset Cuts in the menu.
Script Cutter reads PDFs that contain real text. A scanned PDF that is only a picture of the page has no text to read. Try a PDF exported from a word processor, or paste the text instead.
Tick "Put each character name on its own line" when you load a script, or choose Tidy Character Names from the menu afterwards. Tidying changes the line layout, so it clears any cuts you've already made.
On your own device. In the app they're saved in the app's storage, so deleting the app deletes them. On the web they're saved in your browser, so clearing your browser's site data deletes them. Export a copy of anything you want to keep.
Open the menu, choose Export, then Text, PDF or Word (RTF). In the iPhone and iPad app, a share sheet opens so you can save to Files, AirDrop, email or print. On the web, PDF opens your browser's print dialog: choose Save as PDF.
The app includes web access. In the iPhone or iPad app, open the menu and choose Web Access to see your access code, then go to scriptcutterapp.com/app and enter it. Your browser remembers you, so you only need the code once on each browser.
Open the app and choose Menu > Web Access. If you can't, contact us and tell us the email address you used to buy the app.
